Starting Muay Thai-Style Training in Basingstoke
Muay Thai and kickboxing reward patience — the clinch, the teep, the check, the low kick all take repetition to feel natural. Our coaches break every technique down step by step, so first-timers can train safely alongside more experienced members.
You'll work on pads, the bag and with partners, building fitness and technique together. Clinch and sparring are introduced gradually, only when you're ready.

FAQs
Muay Thai & Kickboxing in Basingstoke — FAQs
Is this the same as Muay Thai?
Our K-1 Kickboxing class is Muay Thai-influenced, combining boxing hands with kicks, and clinch, knee and elbow work drawn from Muay Thai. It's run as a K-1 ruleset class rather than a dedicated traditional Muay Thai programme.
Can beginners join?
Yes. Classes are coached for mixed-ability groups, with technique broken down from the fundamentals for anyone training for the first time.
What equipment do I need?
Comfortable training kit, shorts that allow kicking freely, and trainers. Shin guards, gloves and hand wraps can usually be borrowed for your first sessions.
